On behalf of the University of Rome Niccolò Cusano, under the aegis of ATA (Associazione Tecnica dell’Automobile) and the Center for Automotive Research of The Ohio State University, it is our pleasure and privilege to announce the first one-day workshop “STATE-OF-THE-ART AND FUTURE TRENDS FOR A SUSTAINABLE ROAD VEHICLES DEVELOPMENT”.

This event aims at establishing a network of stakeholders to discuss the current situation and the future trends for road transportation vehicles. Its main focus will be an overview on the promising options to displace fossil fuels, such as the use of alternative fuels, alternative power sources and/or alternative powertrains. We hope to serve as an efficient hub to discuss results already presented in dedicated events, to consolidate opinions, to support the debate between industry and academic researchers, to identify new investigation topics and to outline key technologies for future developments. This way, this workshop wants to help in addressing future studies towards an effective social and economic growth.

The opening plenary will be delivered by Giorgio Rizzoni, professor at The Ohio State University and director of the Center for Automotive Research, which holds a leading position in automotive-oriented innovation and research, and is a great example of integration of the academic world with the industry. Other presentations will be given by experts form the leading international companies and universities, such as General Motors, Magneti Marelli, Dana Italia, Ferrari (to be confirmed), Politecnico di Milano, University of Salerno and others.
The participation is totally free of charge and a light lunch is also provided.
We sincerely welcome your participation in this event and, please, feel free to spread this information to your colleagues.
A provisional program of the event will be available very soon.
