Seminar “Iran at the Crossroads of Regional and Global Security”
Iran stands at the center of evolving regional and global security dynamics, amid rising tensions in the Middle East, shifting alliances, and renewed debates over nuclear proliferation. Understanding Iran’s strategic role today is essential for interpreting broader transformations in international law, regional stability, and global power competition.
This event offers an analytically grounded examination of Iran’s strategic role in contemporary international affairs. It explores Iran’s position within evolving regional and global security dynamics, traces the historical development of the Iranian question in international relations, and assesses the principles and trajectories of Iranian foreign policy, particularly in relation to the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions. It also provides a critical appraisal of the legal and geopolitical implications associated with the potential use of force against Iran under international law.
